We have mostly been…
We’re going to use the blog much more to keep in touch with our supporters. We want to let you know just what we’re working at on a day-to-day basis. The posts should give a closer look at our campaigning and more chance to comment as we go along. Do please say if its too much of this or too little of that.
Most of our time of late has been dedicated to the ‘Stop Mandelson’s disconnection plans’ campaign. We’ve organised an event (in London, on 2 October, with some cracking speakers) and – just launched – a call for donations to pay for a survey of public opposition. We’ve had some good news today with the Conservative party weighing in against the proposals. But this is our biggest fight yet – in fact it demonstrates why we’re needed – and it’ll really test the organisation.
The other big piece of ongoing work is the website, which has been redesigned. Its very much a work-in-progress but the new layout and look seem to be making a difference already. Right, off to the monthly meeting with our Board of Directors.
