Luisa Porritt
Luisa Porritt is a politician and independent consultant, with experience in business, journalism and academia. She is the Liberal Democrat candidate for Mayor of London, Leader of the party’s opposition group on Camden Council, and was Deputy Leader of the party’s MEPs while serving as a Member of the European Parliament for London.
In addition to politics, Luisa advises clients on the political economy of their markets of operation and writes thought leadership analysis on financial markets. She previously ran the UK arm of French financial communications company Fargo. As a journalist, she wrote for outlets including The Economist, The Financial Times and Reuters. She also taught global, European and British economic and social history for the International Programme of the University of London and at Royal Holloway University. She has a Master’s degree in International Economic Policy from Sciences Po, Paris, and a BA in History from Royal Holloway.
