Challenging the Digital Economy Act

From 2010 – 2011 we fought against a law which proposed disconnecting whole households from the Internet on the basis of allegations of copyright infringement.

We helped to galvanise opposition to the Digital Economy Bill, and although it was passed with no proper parliamentary scrutiny, thanks to our efforts six years later the problematic clauses had still not come into force.
