ORG Norwich: Discussion of Online Harms Bill
Wednesday 24 February 6:30pm GMT
The Online Harms Bill, which is part of the Digital Charter, will impose a legally binding obligation on service providers to prevent bad things from happening on the internet. This means that service providers will be required to ‘monitor the integrity of their services’ by ‘codes of practice’ on both illegal and legal content.
The bill targets service providers with UK users ‘user generated-content’ meaning that any technology company that has UK user will have to monitor their content.
Join us for an online meetup when we’ll discuss the Bill, ORG’s work on this issue, and what we can do about it.
