Sara Chitseko

Sara is the Programme Manager for Pre-Crime at Open Rights Group, responsible for our projects covering predictive policing, counter-terrorism policy and technology.

Before joining ORG, Sara worked with The 4Front Project – a grassroots youth organisation resisting racial injustice in the criminal legal system. She streamlined the organisation’s operations by developing policies and practices, before moving to focus on 4Front’s movement building work. Here, she supported the emergence and growth of #EraseTheDatabase – a new campaign to dismantle the Met Police’s Gangs Matrix database and resist emerging police surveillance tools. Prior to this, Sara worked as a Community Organiser with London Renters Union, building renter power in Haringey.

As a racial justice campaigner with a strong interest in systems design, Sara is passionate about developing participatory approaches to change policy and build strong coalitions.
